Supramolecular Intracellular Delivery! Non-cell-permeable, hydrophilic proteins can be delivered into the cells by just a simple modification with adamantane(s). Arginine-conjugated cyclodextrins capture these adamantane tags and take them into the cells. This method is applicable to various types of proteins including antibodies and does not necessitate any genetic manipulation for the proteins of interest. Liposomes were also demonstrated to be delivered into the cells based on the same methodology.
