Water-Based Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis without Hydroxy Side Chain Protection

Based on the 8th criterion of the 12 principles of green chemistry, namely, “reduce derivatives”, solid-phase peptide synthesis without hydroxy side chain protection using an aqueous microwave-assisted method was developed. Peptides including difficult sequences can be synthesized with high atom economy by aqueous microwave-assisted SPPS without partial side chain protection.
