The Development of Aptamer-Coupled Microelectrode Fiber Sensors (apta-μFS) for Highly Selective Neurochemical Sensing

The study reported the development of flexible carbon-composite-based microelectrode fibers modified with dopamine selective aptamers as apta-μFS for in-brain neurochemical detection. The aptamers, a synthetic DNA strand, endowed the fiber sensor with ultrahigh sensitivity, high specificity, and good reversibility.
