Stereoselective Tandem Synthesis of Pyrrolidine Derivatives under Gold Catalysis: An Asymmetric Synthesis of (−)-Lepadiformine A

The cover illustrates the formation of the spirocyclic pyrrolidine skeleton of (−)-lepadiformine A through a Au-catalyzed alkyne hydroamination/iminium formation/intramolecular allylation reaction. The spirocyclic skeleton was constructed in a single step from a linear precursor. The blue texture indicates that (−)-lepadiformine A is a marine alkaloid natural product, isolated from the tunicate collected in Mediterranean.
